I got this free to use on my Kindle Fire 8.7 quite a few months back. It is very good and has an ease of use that is above board in quality for adding vocabulary to my Spanish language learning. After you get the basics in mind of the language itself for Grammar and Verb Conjugation understood and have a working memory bank of those language specifics, then adding vocabulary is key to expanding your skills for wide topics of conversation with the native Spanish speaking peoples here or in another country using that language.There are plenty of free eBooks as well as free online learning sites (Duolingo) for learning and reading and in my experience, learning Spanish has been enjoyable and has opened up new areas of conversation in my local and surrounding areas where there are large numbers of native Spanish speaking people. I've made new friends in this way and speaking with others helps you learn their language far quicker and is known as immersion learning. This is recommended too. Some of my newest family members are Bi-Lingual. It is nice to be able to converse with them in their language and be able to do so respectfully.
I preferred the Fluenz Latin American Spanish PC program, and this no cost vocabulary eBook is just an added tool to use for better learning and retention of what you've learned as well as repetitive learning of vocabulary.
The brain is like a computer with relevant information in, means relevant information out.
So, to learn the language of Spanish, put Spanish language in, to get Spanish words of conversation out.

If you don't try to learn daily, you won't get anywhere in language learning. It takes time and courage to be able to laugh at your self and your language errors. I find it to be both fun and entertaining on both sides to converse with native Spanish speakers. I find they are respectful and laugh with you rather than at you for your language blunders. It doesn't always come out right but trying is more than half the battle and all of the fun.
For a few dollars here, and there, you can learn another language too. Do it. You'll never regret learning other languages. A second language leads to another. I have friends who speak up to 7 languages and they amaze me almost daily.
Recommend trying this eBook. It is good.

One might increase one's knowledge of the language somwhat from visuals but don't rely on the audio....the audio is too fast for a newbie to the language to catch it, the pronunciation is way off if you're thinking to use it in MX, and the syntax and emphasis on the syllables is totally off....It appears it's an "automated/robotic" recording. If you have a basic knowledge of the language already the visuals will help with the vocabulary, and considering it was free I'm not complaining. I'll continue using it in an emergency.
This was a Free download on for the . I am trying to work on learning Spanish and looking for helps anywhere I can. This is only one of two aps that I see are for a so I thought I would try it. It is approximately 150 pages of pictures with a page of explanation in Spanish and use in sentences. It evidently goes along with another program that I won't be getting, but this book is something I can look at and after I have learned the words most likely somewhere else it will let me see them used in more sentences. It is worth a look and you can't beat being for free.
Not necessarily a book for a tourist. An interesting assortment of words/sentences/phrases are provided beginning with the topic of 'animals.' I am not sure I have ever discussed a pig nursing piglets but I will be ready. Surely the author was having some fun with the examples of phrases with the topics of body and facial parts. 'Flaring nostrils' is an example; it Isn't something I would ordinarily have considered commenting upon and there are so many other words and phrases I expected might be in a book entitled 'Word Power 101.' So maybe if you are looking for something unique in a language book, this is for you.
First let me say this book is supposed to be used with an additional program which you download from the internet. I didn't avail myself of that program so perhaps it would make some difference in your results but I'm not so sure.
This book seemed to assume the student will instinctivly know how to pronounce not only the key word but also words in complete, fairly complex sentences. There is no mention of the alphabet nor proper pronunciation of said letters.
The student is expected to begin immediately parroting difficult sentences with somewhat unusual content. Simply put, this book seems like an exercise in frustration for ANY beginner. You didn't start reading with the Gettysburgh address and you don't begin sucessfully learning a foreign language without the necessary background information.
If you are really interested in learning Spanish, do not you waste your time with this book. The first word you will learn in this book is the Spanish word for bird (Pájaro). Now just think about how often you use that word in your usual daily conversations and you get an idea how useful this book will be. It goes on to give you the words for several other animals. But the real purpose of this book is to steer you to the company's website SpanishPod101.com which is poorly laid out and difficult to navigate. Many of the links on it (Including the self assessment test) require a premium membership. Though the price is not that exorbitant, ($4 per month for basic), I don't see enough to entice me to want to go any further. It doesn't look like a fast way to become fluent. I think that would defeat their real purpose to keep you paying them month after month. And by the way, after you register, expect to get a lot of spam from them trying to sell you that premium membership. As I said in the beginning, don't waste your time with this one.
